New Achilles Tendon Rupture Surgery Like Knitting

Dr. Adam Schiff of Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago talks about a new surgery to repair achilles tendon ruptures that is like knitting.

A device is used to attach sutures to the tendon, and pull the sutures outside and inside the skin. The resulting horizontal scar is much smaller than the typical vertical scar left after traditional surgery.
